Swimming competition is a two-day competition, which will be held at the Mäkelänrinne Swimming Pool (Former European Championship venue). The swimming pool is located a few kilometers from downtown and can easily be reached by public transport (trams and buses).

The competition pool is 50 meters long and in addition there is a 25 meter warm up pool available throughout the entire competition. The competition pool is open for warm up before the morning and afternoon sessions. There is a SPA area available for relaxation after swimming.

We are expecting at least 500 glad swimmers to participate in this competition, where
we offer 15 individual events and five relays. Swimmers can participate in up to five individual events and all five relays.

If you do not have a relay team, you can register as individual in the team and we will form teams of individual swimmers. In this case, we ask you to write to the organizing team to the following email: swimming.eg2016@hot.fi and advice of your registration. We do not follow all Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) rules for Swimming competitions in Eurogames. Therefore, the results cannot be officially registered as FINA Masters World, European and Nordic entries or records, because organizer cannot be able to assure FINA rule GR 1.1 about competitors’ eligibility status. Gender policy is stated here.

Three best swimmers in each individual event, in all age groups, are awarded with medals.

Warm up in the competition pool at 8.45 – 9.45 and 15.45 – 16.45.

The organising swimming club of the competition is Helsingfors Simsällskapet (HSS). The Finnish Swimming Association is supporting the arrangements of the competition.

The results can be viewed in Live Timing.
